2017 Year in Review

2017 was quite a year for Promo Team Nashville. As a result, I have been unable to update this blog for quite some time.

To make up for that, I present Promo Team Nashville 2017: A Year in Review. 2017 saw the addition of 14 clients and over 20 brands for Promo Team Nashville.

We started the year off on a great note with the addition of Wild Brine, a California Kimchi producer, as our 5th client. They needed Brand Ambassadors for a sampling program at Nashville and Chattanooga Whole Foods Markets, and we had them covered, selling out the flavors we sampled at multiple locations.

It wouldn't be a year at Promo Team Nashville without the Nashville Symphony. If you have ever wondered who distributes their posters all over town, now you know! They came to Promo Team Nashville all year to blanket Nashville in posters for their many concert series, and used our Street Teams to promote their biggest shows.

In addition to The Nashville Symphony, Outback Concerts, Bridgestone Arena and National Shows 2 also used our street teams to promote upcoming shows. The Foo Fighter's Bridgestone show was one of the events I was most excited to promote. I was so excited I personally visited 7 Nashville neighborhoods and distributed 2,500 flyers to support the show.

In 2017 Promo Team Nashville was about more than Street Teams. Our Brand Ambassadors represented a variety of Brands during the annual CMA Festival. On the first day of the Festival, our teams helped with registration and cleanup for the cutest event we have done this year, Miranda Lambert's Mutt Nation Walk. We also staffed the CMA Awards Carnival (Sponsored by CMT, Pepsi, and Bridgestone), the official kickoff to CMA week, along with the official watch party for the CMT awards (Sponsored by Kingsford).

The Hilton Double Tree Downtown also took advantage of our services to promote their new bar and restaurant during CMA fest week.

After Central Tennessee's busiest week (CMA fest!) our clients kept us busy with street teams and single day events until fall, when we started our largest program of the year. HopDoddy, an Austin, TX based burger franchise was expanding into Nashville, and wanted a street team to create buzz around the Grand Opening of their new location. They came to Promo Team Nashville for our expertise in the Nashville market, hoping to hit every neighborhood event and tailgate they could. We were happy to tell them when and where all the Nashville events happened, and had a team ready to go. Our teams connected thousands of Nashvillians with HopDoddy and distributed over 1500 premiums in support of the restaurant grand opening.

Finishing the year strong, we had the opportunity to represent Mountain Dew Kickstart at a Gio Dos Santos (Mexico, Los Angeles Galaxy) player appearance with our most recent client, the Brand Division.

We look forward to continuing our relationships with all of our clients and are excited for the fun events and promotions coming in the new year!

I want to give a special thank you for all the hard work done by all of our teams and contractors. I especially want to thank Godric Catalina, Julie Keel, Cayla Thompson, Yana Block (now Thompson) and Joey Kirby for all of their excellent work and professionalism. I am nothing without my teams, and am proud of the work they have done this year, and look forward to seeing what they can do in 2018. Until next time, Merry New Years, and see you in 2018.
